The Detox Preparation

A good detox diet will prepare your body for the 7 Day Detox and will make it easier for you physically.  If your body has been gradually introduced to healthier food, the first days of your detox will be easier, with less detox symptoms. This pre detox diet will balance your body’s pH from acid to alkaline. During the detox, the body is detoxifying the cells and stirring things up, releasing the waste in the bloodstream, which is responsible for symptoms like headache, nausea, and aches.  If you don’t prepare your body with our suggested diet, your body will also have to detox from the food you ate, which will cause even more acidity. If you prepare correctly, that part will already be done once you start the fast.

Prior to the Detox program, we advise you to follow a pre-cleanse program with non-acidic food. The longer you prepare for the fast, the better it is for you. We suggest you to eat a vegetarian diet 2 weeks before you start your detox. Avoiding all animal products is preferable. If it is possible for you, also avoid processed and junk foods.

Foods to Avoid During your Pre-Cleanse

  • Meat, fish and poultry
  • Dairy products
  • Eggs
  • Refined sugars and flours
  • Caffeine and sodas
  • Deep fried food
  • Processed food
  • Alcohol, drugs & cigarettes

We recommend you to start your preparation two weeks before you start the program, more or less. If you do not have time to prepare for 2 weeks, no problem. Do the detox diet for as long as you can. We have prepared you a list of great plant-based meals, that are quick and easy to make and, most importantly, delicious! During your preparation, you can always choose recipes from the Pre-cleanse and Post-cleanse pages, which are mostly raw.
